Privacy Policy

Come l'app HomeOffice tratta i tuoi dati.

Ultimo aggiornamento: 8 ottobre 2026 · Versione app: 1.0

In sintesi

6, par. 1, lett. f del GDPR).

6. I tuoi diritti

How the HomeOffice app handles your data.

Last updated: 8 October 2026 · App version: 1.0

In short

  • Your days stay yours. Your entries (office, home, business trip, vacation, sick, time off, closure), notes and settings are stored on your device and synced only to your personal iCloud account. We have no server and cannot see them.
  • No ads, no tracking. The app contains no ad networks and does not track you. It only collects anonymous usage statistics, through TelemetryDeck, to understand how to improve it. You can object by writing to us at feedbacksr@icloud.com.
  • No account. We never ask for your name, email, company or employer.

1. Data controller

The app is developed by Rocco Barletta (dontknowif), an individual. For any privacy question you can write to feedbacksr@icloud.com. We reply within 30 days.

As explained below, the developer does not receive or store any personal data from app users: the data you enter stays under your control, on your device and in your iCloud.

2. Data that stays on your device

Everything you enter in the app is saved in a local database (SwiftData) in your iPhone's or iPad's storage. It is not sent to us or to third parties. This includes:

Vacation, sick or time-off days are entered by you, by choice, only so they are left out of the calculation. The app does not ask for or store diagnoses, reasons for absence or certificates.

The widget, the Control Center control and Siri shortcuts read and write the same data through a shared storage area on the device (App Group). Nothing goes through our servers.

The weekly reminder is a local notification scheduled by the operating system on the device: it does not go through any server.

If you use Export to Excel or Export PDF Report, the file is created on the device and you decide where to save it or who to send it to: we never receive a copy. The same applies, the other way round, to Import from Excel: the chosen file is read on the device.

3. iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud on the device, the app syncs your days and custom holidays to the private database of your iCloud account (CloudKit) and your settings to iCloud key-value storage, so you find them on your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account. This data is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy: the developer has no access to your iCloud private database. If you do not use iCloud, the data stays on the device only.

4. Usage statistics and what we do not do

To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we collect anonymous usage statistics through TelemetryDeck, a service that processes the data on our behalf (data processor). The statistics are tied to a pseudonymous device identifier that cannot be traced back to you, and never include the days you log, your notes or data that identifies you. They are not used for advertising and are not given to anyone. Provider information: telemetrydeck.com/privacy.

In addition:

5. Legal basis and retention

Since the developer does not receive the data entered in the app, it does not process it. Storage on the device and sync to your iCloud happen at your initiative, to provide the app's features. Anonymous usage statistics rest on the developer's legitimate interest in improving the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Your rights

Under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

In practice. Since your data is only on your device and in your iCloud, you can exercise these rights directly: edit or delete any day from the app's calendar, and Export to Excel gives you a complete copy in an open format. If you want to object to the anonymous usage statistics, write to us and we will take care of it. For any question write to feedbacksr@icloud.com.

7. Children

The app is designed for working people and is not directed at children under 14. It does not knowingly collect children's data.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts collecting other data or integrating other third-party services, we will update this page before releasing the affected version, change the date at the top and mention it in the release notes.

9. This website

The sections above concern the app. This one concerns the site dontknowif.github.io, the one you are reading right now.

The pages presenting the apps use Cloudflare Web Analytics, acting as a data processor on our behalf, so we can tell how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It uses no cookies, writes nothing into the browser's storage and builds no device fingerprint: that is why the site shows no cookie consent banner.

For each visit the following is collected: the page opened, the site you came from if any, the country (derived from the IP address, which is not retained), the browser and operating system type, and some page loading timings. None of it can be traced back to you as a person, and you are not followed from one site to another. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding whether the site works and is being found. Provider's privacy information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web server, GitHub's infrastructure sees the IP address a request comes from: that is a technical consequence of how the internet works, not data we collect or consult. Privacy information: docs.github.com/site-policy.

The site has no forms and asks for no registration. Website statistics are in no way linked to the app, which collects none. If you would rather not be counted here, any browser script blocker is enough.
